The advantages of setting up companies in Andorra
Due to Andorra’s privileged tax status, its low level of social contributions and comfortable, secure lifestyle, the Principality has become an attractive location for setting up a business or taking up residence.
Since sectors of the economy have recently been opened up to foreign investment in Andorra and direct taxation on companies and commercial activities remains low, and as double taxation treaties have been signed, the domestic economy is equipped with competitive economic tools to maximise successful opportunities for new foreign investment.
If you want to carry out a business activity, set up a business, company or branch in Andorra, relocate your company to Andorra or set up an offshore company, and you are not resident, these are the main steps that we can help you with:
Prior application by non-residents for permission to invest
Entry into force of the law of 21 June 2012 on foreign investment matters in the Principality of Andorra has allowed for all sectors of commercial activity in Andorra to be opened up, enabling non-resident individuals and legal persons to relocate or set up their activity in Andorra, through an Andorran company.
For non-resident individuals or legal persons to carry out an activity in Andorra, if the intended foreign investment is higher than 10% of the share capital of an Andorran company, a foreign investment permit must be obtained.
Our law firm in Andorra provides the necessary legal support to non-residents to obtain the foreign investment permit prior to the acquisition of shares in the company.
